A sacred circle of women

Hi. I'm Alison Cebulla. I lead Sacred Goddess Groups.

I have taken inspiration from many inspiring teachers and mentors in founding Sacred Goddess Group, now in its third year.

My introduction to "no boys allowed" monthly gatherings was attending Tawny Sterios' weMOON group at m.BODY in San Luis Obispo, CA in 2012.

In 2013 I moved to NYC and asked Tawny if I could flat-out copy her model. She gave me her blessing and I held New Moon Women's Circles in NYC from 2013 to 2014 at Reflections Center for Conscious Living and in my tiny living room apartment on 56th and 1st.

These groups offered a safe space for women to connect, breathe, and dream. Together we would share our successes, challenges, and intentions. So much about Western life is about acheivement. The moon circles have been a place to just be, without having to prove anything to anyone else.

In 2015 I created this thing called "Coffee Meditation", held monthly at Three Jewels Buddhist center in NYC, based on principles for generating good karma by helping and listening to others as outlined in book The Karma of Love.

In the fall of 2015 I lead a workshop at the 2nd annual Bulletproof Biohacking Conference in LA on "Hacking more gratitude and kindness", a topic about which I had written a couple of pieces for The Huffington Post.

In 2013 I got to be a fly on the wall at a "no girls allowed" event hosted by best-selling author Neil Strauss for his men's network The Society. Seeing the power of bringing like minds together for inspiring weekend retreats and the colliding of interesting people and ideas was an inspiration to start Sacred Goddess Group. I wanted to start something where all the inspiring women I'd met in all the different places I've lived (18 countries and counting!) could not just know of each other, but connect deeply, be vulnerable, and to share that sacred space of to just be.

I was also inspired by attending a women's event with keynote speaker, visionary Jean Houston (who helped Hillary Clinton write her memoir), who lead us through a guided meditation that left me both in tears and inspired to connect more deeply with women.

So far, the conversations that happen during the Sacred Goddess calls have surpassed what I could have hoped for in starting this network. I am in awe of the strength, resiliance, humor, depth, insight, vulnerability, honesty, and wisdom with which the Goddesses show up on each call.

In 2016 I started the Intellectual Feminists of Austin (Texas) and held a monthly bookclub, finally reading such feminist classics as Simone de Beauvoir's The Second Sex and Naomi Wolf's The Beauty Myth. I realized there was so much I still needed to learn about feminism and so much more power I needed to own in my life. It was a realization that has come with sadness and grief for the life all of us women could be having if we were truly equal citizens.

Since awakening to the feminist movement, and in a Trump-ruled society, the group has taken on many more feminist topics and calls to action in addition to being a space for women to safely connect. It is a constantly evolving and changing group.

I am grateful for all the teachers in my life who have taught me what I needed to learn in order to found and lead groups like this one. None of the work or ideas are my own. They are only a synthesis of the teachings I have read, heard, and absorbed.

Being in Alison’s group has helped me feel less alone with the challenges in my life and give me strength by showing that other inspiring women face similar ones! I’m touched by how the group has enabled me to connect with women I did not know at all before on a deep level very quickly.
— Francesca Pick, OuiShare, Paris, France
Being part of this group has helped me to generate change in my life. I was able to leave a job that I hated, learn to ask for help, and to start saying “no”- all with the support of a network of women who were patient and kind. This opportunity presented itself at an important time in my life, and I’m so glad I listened and dove in!
— Taylor Murphy-Sinclair, Los Angeles, CA
All of the women in Sacred Goddess Group help me reflect on who I am and what really matters to me. The group helps me stay connected to my “why,” which keeps me motivated to create my ideal life. I’ve grown the audience of my fine art photography from 500 to over 5000. I moved from California to NY where I am dedicating myself to my art.
— Hannah Suzanna, Photographer, New York, NY
I joined the Sacred Goddess Group because I was looking for more connection in my life and on a deeper level. There’s something so freeing and empowering about being a part of a group of strong women and feeling supported by them and being able to support them right back. The group is allowing me to be more open with other people, which is forcing me to be more open with myself, which is something I didn’t realize that I needed. It’s bringing me sort of a peace of mind reminder that really at the core of it all we’re all going through the same things. We all really want the same things out of life which is to love and be loved and supported. The connection with these women helps provide that.

I'm pretty busy already. What is the time commitment?

Sacred Goddess Group is perfect for busy women who can commit to 5-6 hours a month to widen their network of powerful, inspiring, and soulful women and get transformational coaching from Alison in a supportive group setting.

Calls are 75-90 mins, 3x/month for 4 months. Goddesses are asked to connect with the 3 other women in their group outside of the group calls at the start of the program, and then as often as you choose thereafter. 1-2 hours/month can be dedicated to participating in group discussions in the Facebook group, but is not required.

How much does it cost?

The cost for the 4 month program is $775 if paid all at once, or $205/mo if paid monthly autodebit.

Significant one-on-one coaching discounts with Alison are available to Sacred Goddess Group members for her 4 and 6 month programs.

What forms of payment do you take?

All major credit cards and Venmo.

Are there in-person meetups?

We may meet in 2018 in person at beautiful locations and destination Airbnb homes.

Potential upcoming locations include Palm Springs, CA, Catskills, NY, Asheville, NC, New Orleans, LA, Ashland, OR, Tahoe, CA, Austin, TX, and anywhere Goddesses want to explore.

When are the calls?

Once a group fills up, we will vote on the best regular day each week for the 75 min call and line up all 12 call dates on the calendar. Example: every Monday at 6pm or every Saturday at 11am. One week a month we have off. There are only 3 calls scheduled each month.

Where do Goddesses live? What if I live outside the US?

We have members in every time zone in the US, and Goddesses in Mexico and Europe. We always find a regular call time that works for everyone.

How do I join?

Fill out this form and Alison or someone from Alison's team will be in touch about upcoming groups and openings.

How often do new groups start?

About once every 3-6 months.

What if I can't make every single call?

If a Goddess has to miss a call we email a recording so they can still participate in that month's discussion and stay connected to the group.

We request that Goddesses who join have the intention of making 100% of the calls and arriving on time for each call.
